In the preferences menu you can set some general options. Here a description:
In the first edit field you must enter your smtp mail server. You can enter its name or IP address. In the second field enter the mail server's smtp port. The default port for smtp connections is 25. The third edit field holds your username and the last the password for your smtp server. In the last field, enter a password only, if you are really sure you need it.
On the scheduler tab you can configure the CheckSystem scheduler. Here can you set in which intervals CheckSystem should check your drives, partitions, directories, applications or event logs. In the edit field enter a number and from the list select the unit (minutes, hours or days). If you want a more comfort scheduler (i.e. scheduling by weekday) please use our product ExecuteIt!. It is the optimized external scheduler for CheckSystem .
With the auto save option you can decide if CheckSystem should save the profiles when necessary.
Here can you enable or disable the
CheckSystem
logfile. The logfile contains some useful information about all
CheckSystem actions. Note: If there are many jobs and a short scheduler interval is set the log file will grow very fast in filesize.
You can also select your preferred program language. If you change the
language you must restart the program or service so that the changes
takes effect.
If the list doesn't contain your language and you would like to help us to translate our CheckSystem product, please contact us at software@competent-software.com.
On the CPU tab you can enable or disable the CheckSystem CPU meter. The CPU meter is a little display which shows the current usage of your first CPU. With it you can control the usage of your CPU everytime.
Besides, on that tab you can enable or disable the single e-mail notification for each monitor.
